We put up our homemade pinecone wreath soon after Thanksgiving. We only brought one nativity with us from home. The celebrating of Christmas will be one of simplicity...but perhaps more peaceful than ever before! The presents under our tree were few, but the joy of Christmas was boundless! Santa surprised us by filling our stockings! Carol was spoiled with a $100 bill tucked in her stocking. Chuck got a surprise book from Santa! Some traditions never die!...Christmas breakfast with candy cane coffee cake was as delicious as ever...and always before opening the gifts! We even had festive red chargers! Chuck cooked the eggs, bacon, and sausage!
A few days later Tony and Megan came to visit. We enjoyed a day of quiet with them and then..... David's family came up. David and Kira took the Rhino for a long ride.....on nearby trails and logging roads! Then David took the kids behind the Rhino on a new tube we purchased at Costco. Chuck and Kira kept busy most of the time putting together a Santa puzzle. Christopher's family came up the day that David's family left. It was just one day of joyful chaos after another! New Year's Eve was fun... with lots of food, of course! Andrea is so happy with her little family of three beautiful (and sweet!) children. Jocelyn is looking so much like her big sister and Mom.
The holidays were beautiful in so many ways....but it is time to take the tree down and go back to WORK! Well, not so fast!....Becca and Caleb will be coming soon!
